Medical Disclaimer
Trance Therapeutics is a private guiding practice, not a hospital, clinic or licensed medical facility. Nothing on this site is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a substitute for care from a qualified physician.
1. What we do and don't claim
We guide people through psilocybin experiences and the preparation and integration around them. We work with people navigating depression, anxiety, stress, trauma and habit patterns. Many report meaningful change. We do not claim to cure, treat or manage any condition, and we do not replace your existing treatment.
2. Keep your doctor in the loop
Tell your prescribing physician that you are considering psilocybin. Do not stop or alter any prescribed medication on our advice alone — this matters most with antidepressants, lithium and anything acting on serotonin.
3. Screening is not diagnosis
Our consultation is a structured screening conversation. It is thorough but it is not a clinical assessment, and it cannot detect everything. Undisclosed conditions, medications or history can change the risk to you. The accuracy of our screening depends on the accuracy of what you tell us.
4. Individual variation
Responses to psilocybin vary widely between people and between sessions. Dose, body weight, medication, food, menstrual cycle, setting and state of mind all affect it. A dose that was gentle for someone else may be strong for you, and the reverse.
5. No guaranteed outcome
A session may produce insight, relief, or nothing you can name. Some people need more than one. Some find psilocybin is not the right tool at all. We will tell you if we think that is the case, but the outcome is not something we can promise.
6. Not an emergency service
We are not staffed 24 hours and cannot respond to emergencies. If you deteriorate sharply, contact your physician or the nearest emergency department.
7. Botanical products
Our dried mushrooms are a natural product, not a licensed pharmaceutical. Potency varies between batches within a normal biological range.
8. Currency of information
We revise this page as our understanding and the evidence change.
